Old Market Chacewater, Authentic local produce in the heart of Cornwall

About us

Opened in 2014 by food-lovers Tony & Sue Murley, The Old Market Chacewater was created to offer customers something that the couple couldn’t find when they returned to Cornwall; restaurant quality food at great value away from the big supermarkets. After working the London food and flower markets, from Borough Market to New Covent Garden, Tony had a taste for excellent quality food and knew that Cornwall offered such a wealth of excellent producers. The Old Market, Chacewater brings together his love of food and an abundance of vibrant produce; the best of the best from Cornwall to Paris.

“My doctor told me I had to stop throwing intimate dinners for four unless there are three other people.” -Orson Welles

In 2016 Tony and Sue started showcasing their passion for excellent quality produce and their authentic artisan flair with Feast Nights in the beautiful Old Market Courtyard. Surrounded by plants the sheltered courtyard provides a versatile space for pop-up evenings with plenty of seasonal flavour. The Feast Nights are continuing to grow with Guest Chefs and music on the horizon. See our feasts page for the latest dates.
